The State Administration of Work Safety requires that in 2018, the special action for the investigation and management of hidden dangers of major production safety accidents of stainless steel plate enterprises will be carried out in the country. According to institutional analysis, safety production may become the next big-anticipation after the “strip steel” and environmental protection. Last year's rise in raw material prices was not caused by demand growth, but because China resolutely implemented the capacity-removal policy, reorganized the production capacity of stainless steel plates, actively reduced backward production capacity, and destroyed more than 100 million tons of strip steel. The supply of the entire capacity has been reduced by 200 million, according to my estimate of 270 million tons, such a large capacity removal. From the perspective of production, the statistical caliber last year was 830 million tons. In fact, there are 134 million tons in this category. In the past, stainless steel plates were not included in the statistical caliber, so it is still 830 million in terms of statistics. The ton is not much different from 2016, 2015 and 2014, but it has actually decreased by 140 million tons. The supply is already decreasing and the demand for society is already falling.
